VAN DER KRAAN, Huibert (Herb) at the Welland County General hospital on Saturday, March 18, 2006 peacefully passed away at age 70. He is survived by a brother Henk (Yetti) residing in Holland and a sister Sonja. He was the loving husband to Wanda and dear father of Darlene Sims (Dave), Andrea Plato (Rick), Jackie Van Der Kraan (Jason), Dale Van Der Kraan, Heidi Vail (Brian), Melinda Zanchin (Dean), all children of Diana Johnston. He was the step-father of Richard McLeod (Shelly) and Joanne Sider (Mark). He was a grandfather of 8 - Kristyn (Ryan), Kevin, Corey, Yvonne, Adam, Brianna, Alicyia and Sarah and great-grandfather of Natalie. He will be sadly missed by all. A private Family Service has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to THE FORT ERIE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES, 21 Wintemute Street. Donations may be made to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Fort Erie S.P.C.A. or charity of choice.
