Herman D. "Red" Zimmerman of Douglas Street, Fort Erie, died Friday, January 31, 1992 at Douglas Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 31, 1912, Mr. Zimmerman came to work at the Canadian Gasket Company.
He was a veteran of the Second World War and a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 71.
He was the beloved husband of Iris (Newman) Zimmerman, dear father of Robert (Virginia) of Windsor, and loving grandfather of Kim, Krista and Matthew.
He was predeceased by one brother Allen Zimmerman.
Members of the Legion Branch 71 held a memorial service Sunday evening in the Fort Erie Chapel of Davidson Funeral
