John Stanley Withell died Jan. 9, 1991 at Douglas Memorial
Hospital. He was 78.
Withell, 117 Stanton St., Fort Erie, was born Nov. 14, 1912 in Calgary, Alta. He came to Fort Erie in 1924.
He owned Withell Cycle and Sports between 1947 and 1965, and the Mazinaw Resort in Cloyne, Ont. between 1965 and 1980.
He was a member of Central Avenue United Church, a charter member of the Fort Erie Rotary Club, the Lions of Northbrook Ont., and was a leader of Trail Rangers at the United Church.
Beloved husband of Janet Evelyn (Hughes) Withell. Dear father of one son George Stanley (Carol) Withell of Buffalo.
Sadly missed by one brother Arthur Withell of Arizona, and one sister Lorraine (Jim) Holt of Ridgeway.
Funeral service was officiated by the Rev. L. McSpadden at the Fort Erie Chapel of Davidson Funeral Homes. Interment in McAffee Ceme
