WILSON, Donald -After a long and courageous struggle, Don passed away at his residence, surrounded with the love and presence of his family on Friday, July 17th, 2009. Loving husband of Beverley (nee Sherk). Cherished father of Jeffrey (Amanda) Wilson, Jamie Lee (Patrick Howe) Wilson and Jessica (James MacKinnon) Wilson. Proud grandfather of Jacob, Kayla, Cohen and Lucy. Also survived by his sisters Mary (Jim) Burrison and Lee Malloy, his many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Wilson. Don was the co owner of Wilson Floor Design for the past 35 years. He was a member and past president of the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce and the Ridgeway Lions Club and loved the Washademoak Lake. The family would like to thank, St Catharines General Hospital, Dr. Giesbrecht and staff, Dr. Wilczynski and staff, St Elizabeth - Health Care and Comcare for treating Don with compassion and dignity during his illness. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie, entrusted with arrangements. The family received friends on Wednesday. Funeral services were held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 11a.m. If so desired, contributions to St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation oncology would be appreciated by the family.
