Horton Steel New Construction Warehouse, #1

Description

The construction of a new warehouse was undertaken in the fall of 1974 and completed early in 1975. It is a "Butler" steel prefab building, 130' wide by 144' long and 31' high at the eaves. The building was somewhat customized to suit the particular needs of the Construction Department and is complete with two pendent controlled overhead cranes, one of 5 and one of 10 ton capacity.

It is situated on five acres of land. A railroad spur crosses the premises, therefore, shipment of construction equipment can be accomplished by rail and tractor trailer.
