George Russell Young of 413 North Mill Street, Ridgeway died at Port Colborne General Hospital on Thursday, March 12, 1987.
Born in Ridgeway on February 13, 1913, Mr. Young had worked at Horton C.B.I. for 35 years until his retirement in 1972. He had previously worked as a millwright. A former firefighter, he had retired after 35 years of service.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife Marion (nee Doan), sons Russell (Rose) and Robert (Lynn), both of Ridgeway,
daughters Lois (Mrs. Robert Wells) of Port Colborne, Marilyn (Mrs. John Romanovitch) of Cornwall and Carol (Mrs. Clifford Moffat) of Fonthill.
Also surviving Mr. Young are sisters Ethel (Mrs. Nelson Neff) of Port Colborne and Mae (Mrs. Robert Hudd) of Fort Erie.
Funeral services took place on Monday, March 16, 1987 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of The Williams Funeral Home. The Rev. Allan Witton officiating.
Interment followed at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery.
