WORAM, Melody Ann (nee: Beam)
67 years of age, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 3, 2016, after a short illness. As the angels wrapped their arms around her, she was holding the hands of her loving daughter and son-inlaw, and was surrounded by her family and close friends. Melody was born in Canada on January 12, 1949 to her parents Earl and Ina Beam of Stevensville, Ontario. She resided in Stevensville & Fort Erie, Canada for 32 years. In 1969, Melody was part of a duo husband-wife team that built a custom sailboat, believed to be the only one of size in North America. Upon its completion in 1971, she sailed from Canada to the British Virgin Islands. She was set to sail to England for a trip around the world when a final medical check-up revealed she was pregnant. They sailed back to Canada, arriving with only weeks to spare before the birth of her daughter in September 1971. Melody, always proud of her Canadian roots, gave up the snow in 1981 moving to Florida. She has made her home in the For Walton area for the past 35 years Melody's gift was her ability to make others feel special and amazing. She always found the goodness in people. She was a fierce red-head, hardworking, independent lady She was a favorite to her many neighbors and friends. You were truly blessed if you knew her. Melody's true love of life centered around her loving, loyal daughter Nicole Rewis, her caring, dependable son in-law Chad, and her two beautiful grandchildren Cole and Kellan Rewis, all of Destin, Florida. Together their lives were full of love, hugs and so much more. In addition to her daughter, Melody is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, who adored her and to whom Melody was exceptionally close; great nieces, nephews and her many friends which include her Canadian friends of 60+ years. Melody is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Ina Beam; and brother Michael Beam. On Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 am a grave side service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church on 2251 Ridgemount Road, Stevensville, Ontario. Service was held in her place of residence, Fort Walton Beach, Florida but Melody wanted her final resting place to be at home in Stevensville, Ontario, Canada. Melody was a devout animal lover therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SPCA or COPE.
