WINGER, Edwin Leroy- passed away at Residence on Garrison, Fort Erie, on Friday, January 11, 2002, in his 88th year. Ed is survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Nancy Winger, sisters, Clara and Pauline, and brothers, Omar, Joseph, Lewis, and Leslie. Born at the family farm in Bertie Township on March 12, 1914, Ed was a dairy farmer and active in many farm organizations. He was a Sunday School teacher for many years, and enjoyed sharing his love of hunting and fishing in Northern Ontario with his stu
dents. Upon retirement, Ed volunteered as a carpenter for several Christian organizations, including Teen Challenge. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of THE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME on Monday at 1 o'clock. Interment took place in Bertie Cemetery. Memorial donations were directed to Teen Challenge or Bethel Pentecostal Assembly, Fort Erie.
