After a lengthy illness, John Branston Willmott of Dufferin Street, Fort Erie died at Douglas Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.
He leaves to mourn his loss. his wife Olivette (Dostie) Willmott, his two sons, Mark of Stevensville and David (Sheena of Indiana, his step-daughter Danielle (John) Hagemeyer of Holland, two granddaughters Karlene and Lacey Willmott of Niagara Falls, three step-grandchildren Alida, Olivia and Jay Hagemeyer of Holland.
He was predeceased by his parents and his son Garth.
Mr. Willmott was in the restaurant business and served as an alderman and deputy reeve for Fort Erie and Bertie Township from 1960 to 1972.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. Cremation is to take place.
Donations to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Red Cross would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
